Clockwork Jiu Jitsu, the Rockaway Chapter is located in the heart of Rockaway Beach, NYC. We’re an affiliate of the renowned Clockwork Jiu Jitsu Academy located in downtown Manhattan.

The Rockaway Chapter is owned by Head Instructor Matt Muro and Instructor Kyle Terboss, both 1st degree blackbelts under Josh Griffiths, Founder and Head Instructor at Clockwork BJJ Headquarters in Manhattan.

At Clockwork Rockaway, we aim to provide an ego-free and friendly yet high level training environment. We believe that Jiu Jitsu is for EVERYONE and that EVERYONE can benefit from Jiu Jitsu.

Matt and Kyle combined bring over 30 years of Jiu Jitsu experience to the Rockaway Community. What keeps us in love and involved with this sport is the constant flow of people we see who’s lives change for the better when they discover Jiu Jitsu. We want to share our knowledge and passion for the sport with the community of Rockaway Beach.

On the surface, a Jiu Jitsu room is just a room full of mats but what makes it special is the people that walk through the doors everyday and create a positive and inspiring community. We hope you’ll come in and be a part of it.
